The Visa Programme with A1 Care in UK


A1 Care have the opportunity to sponsor candidates in need of a visa through our Visa onboarding program in UK. We are a Direct Sponsor, which means that no third parties are involved, and there are no hidden fees for the candidates. To be able to apply for a visa sponsorship with us you must meet our requirements. We receive a high number of applicants every day, so to be considered for a sponsorship you must meet all the requirements, without any exceptions.

A Health Care Visa allows you to come to or stay in the UK to do an eligible job with an approved employer, which we are. This visa has replaced the Tier 2 (General) work visa. A1 Care is a sponsor for both candidates from within (undefined visa) and outside (defined visa) of the UK.

The Visa requirements


When looking for a visa sponsorship with us you must meet the requirements to be on the Health Care worker visa from the Uk Government, and you must also meet our requirements. The requirements from A1 Care :
  • Have at least 2 years of health care job experience.
  • Have a clean police record, and proof of this.
  • Provide a CV showing all employee history and education.
  • Be fully Covid vaccinated.
  • Hold a driving license for at least 1 year and be willing to apply for a UK driving license within the first year of living in the UK.
  • Be kind, caring, flexible, time keeping, good at communication and comfortable to work with elderly.
  • Minimum level 2 health care qualification.
  • Hold proof of education and health care training.
  • You must be able to speak, read, write and understand English. You’ll need to prove your knowledge of English when you apply.

The Defined Visa Programme


A1 Care is currently recruiting for overseas experienced Health Care Workers, Senior Care Assistants and Registered Nurses. They must meet the requirements to be on a health care visa, given from the UK government, to be considered for a visa sponsorship.

The Un-Defined Visa Programme


This is an application from within the UK, seeking permission to change your visa. You might be able to apply to change (‘switch’) to a health care visa if you’re already in the UK on a different type of visa. To be able to change your visa to a Health Care Visa, you must meet all the requirements to be on a health care visa, provided from the UK government. You must not travel outside of the UK, Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, after you have applied to the Home Office, until you get a decision. Your application will be withdrawn if you do.

Visa Fees


A1 Care health care visa sponsorship have no hidden fees. The health care role is on the shortage occupation list, and each person applying will need to meet the requirements and pay to the UK Government when applying for a visa. But do not worry, A1 Care will help you.

Costs:
The visa application fee. The standard fee depends on whether you’ll be in the UK for 3 years or more than 3 years. The application fee is listed here on the UK government webpage, being £ 232 per person if you stay up to 3 years, and £ 464 per person if you are staying for more than 3 years on a visa. A1 Care is paying all other visa charges such as the visa employment fee, flight tickets and airport pick up, saving you money and helping you achieve your dream of working in health care in the UK. Please always double check the requirements on the gov.uk webpage seeing they oversee the visa application legislations. A1 Care as a visa sponsor will of course support you along the way.

How to apply for visa sponsorship with A1 Care


If you're looking for sponsorship and you meet all the requirements, create an account with A1 Care, and apply for a job role on our platform. We only accept our applications through this platform. If your CV does not show sufficient experience, unfortunately your application will be unsuccessful.

On our health care visa sponsorship we can only accept you in the role of Nurse, Senior Care Worker or Heath Care Worker. Your application will be declined if you are in need of visa and apply for any other job role then nurse, senior care worker or health care worker.

How is it like to work on a visa sponsorship with A1 care?


A1 care is a domiciliary care company. Domiciliary care is the name given to the range of services put in place to support an individual in their own home. You will provide care to those that require additional support with day to day household tasks, personal care or any other activity that allows them to maintain their quality of life and independent living.

The visa sponsorship is of high expense for A1 Care, and therefore a person who gets visa sponsorship must commit to the company, and agree to work a set amount of hours every week. The amount of hours is higher for the nurse and senior care worker, then the health care worker role, due to different visa expenses. As a nurse and senior care worker you will be actively doing care 48hours a week, and a health care worker will be working about 42hours a week. The time allocated on a care visit, is the time registered as working hours. Every week you will have two days of rest.

To make sure you have a understanding of what you are signing up for when you apply for a visa, we will illustrate a working day in this company.

07.00 – 11.00: breakfast calls


* In order for you to be at the client by 07 you will need to get up early and drive to the client.
* Depending on the area you cover and the length of the care visit, you can make up to six morning calls with different clients.
* You will oversee or assist clients to get up, wash/shower/bathe and dress.
* Most will have tea/coffee and a light breakfast made for them.
* May need prompting to take medication. Medication timings could be critical.
* Depending on the length of the visit and the needs of the individual, you may need to help with domestic duties such as laundry, empty the bin, or washing up.
* You may also need to see to continence needs such as changing pads, emptying commodes, making/changing the bed.
* If this is the only visit you may need to make sure that there is sufficient fluid, jug of water/squash and a sandwich/snack, within easy reach for during the day.
* Your call may finish at about 10.30 thus giving you time for a break.

11.00 – 14.00: lunch calls


* Clients may be served a light lunch. You may need to support the clients to make the meal.
* Again, you may need to do some light domestic duties, cleaning, tidying or shopping.

15.00 – 18.00: tea time


* Some like to have something to eat at this time of day.
* Many clients will need to take medication at regular intervals and may need prompting or assistance doing this.

19.00 – 22.30: evening/bed-time calls


* Your shift would normally, unless there is an emergency, finish around 22.30
* Late calls are normally the reverse of the breakfast calls, you may need to prepare supper and make a hot drink. Make sure that the clients is ready for bed, make sure that they have everything they need and make sure that they are safe and secure for the night.
* You may need to help to attach night bags, catheters or incontinence pads.

Each client will have their own needs and preferences and your support will be tailored to fit them individually. Some clients may need four visits a day, especially if they have severe mobility problems and need support. For clients who need multiple visits each day this is to make sure that they are eating and drinking sufficiently and taking their medication. Some of our clients may have limited mobility and will need the support of two carers, called a “double up”. Then you will be doing care with a colleague, helping to move and help the client.
